Who Am I?

I am a native of China, in the northeast region, Shandong province. I am now studying accounting at The University of Texas at Dallas. I expect to graduate in May of 2018.

In China I went to nursing school and earned a nursing degree and license. I came to the United States in 2010 as an Au Pair. In both situations I enjoyed taking care of children and elderly people.

During my school years in China I entered á…³ and won á…³ several writing contests. More recently I have started learning to paint (see below).

Last summer I returned to China to visit my family for the first time in many years. The photo is at the famous Great Wall.

The things I love!
Recently I started going painting. It is so different from school or work that it gives my brain a break, like a little vacation. The place we go uses words like "carefree" and "paint your cares away", and it really works! I can relax with my friends, be creative, and learn something different.

Believe or not, my emotions and the universe change during painting. And I forget all my worries and stresses. The feeling of creating something good is beyond explanation. I am so proud of myself that the moment what I share my awesome art with others.

I Love About Traveling Food
Food is a big part of travel for me. I love to cook and to eat. I try all kinds of food everywhere I travel, and all around town. Sometimes just going into a restaurant give me an opportunity to learn about the people and culture behind the food.

Culture and Language
I love to travel around the city, country, and world. By learning about other places and cultures, I can learn how to get along with them better. Sometimes I try to learn a little of the local language. Besides, learning about places and culture helps me understand people better and get along with them better. And it's fun! PS: They don't really let me drive the airplane!

Traveling History
I'm not usually big on history. But I have found that when I travel, learning about the history of the places I visit helps me understand the culture and the people.
Traveling makes me really understand what I've already learned but never really experienced, and I think everyone can benefit with a good dose of travel.
